FAQ
Is the wedding celebration postponed?
Due to the ongoing concerns with COVID-19 we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding celebration. We will be having a small ceremony in Jamaica as originally planned with a few family members and friends. You should receive a paper and/or email updates by January 10, 2021. If you have questions please email us as soon as possible.
Should I be worried about COVID-19?
Yes, we all are. If you are immunocompromised or high-risk in any way and have not received a vaccine by the wedding, please put your health first and refrain from attending. There will be a party to celebrate in 2022. Your health and safety is our top priority.
While our wedding is scheduled for May 1, 2021, we’ll continue to provide updates. The wedding and attendee numbers remain dependent on Jamaica’s regulations so please ensure all hotel and plane ticket purchases are flexible.
Come back to this website for the latest updates and information regarding the wedding.
All wedding-related activities will be held outdoors, temperature checks, masks, and tracking forms will be required for all events. If you have additional questions or concerns please email cilleyinlove@gmail.com.
Are children invited?
Sorry, children are not invited this is a 21+ event. While we were planning on providing on-sight childcare during both the ceremony and reception this is now not an option due to COVID-19. Please find alternate childcare or refrain from attendance your health and the health of your children is our top priority.

Cilley is Jon’s last name. It is pronounced like the word silly.

Is Jamaica safe?
Jamaica is a developing country and the large cities suffer from high crime rates. Heavy tourist areas like Negril are generally safe. Please exercise sound judgement especially in the evening, stay in populated areas, do not become overly intoxicated, and do not ride in local taxis (unless setup by your hotel).
Should I be worried about Zika?
There have been no reported cases of the Zika virus in Jamaica since 2017. Please reference the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) website for more information here. Regardless, it’s always good to take precautions and wear bug repellent, no one likes mosquito bites.
Is marijuana legal in Jamaica?
Yes. Marijuana is legal for consumption in Jamaica. Warning: Do not carry marijuana back with you from Jamaica to the United States. Customs officers are looking for drugs coming from South America and the Caribbean and bringing it across the U.S. border is a federal offense.
Do you have a registry?

Is Amanda changing her last name?
